SHIATSU, or finger pressure, is a massage therapy technic, devised in Japan, but inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine, as is acupuncture, and acupressure.
​
Shiatsu uses pressing and stretching methods to boost energy in the body and promote good health.
​
It is done by using gentle or firm pressure with thumbs and fingers, but also with palms, elbows, knees or even feet, on the meridians and acupuncture points, on the whole body. Stretching is also used to contribute to flexibility. There are no needles, or medication, or secondary effects.
​
SHIATSU is for everyone. The patient, fully clothed, lies on a comfortable mat on the floor, or a massage table. The treatment lasts for an hour.

SHIATSU is also effective for animals.
